Behind the Scenes: The Spirit & Legacy of Rebel Soul Minis.

I have been an animal lover my whole life, with dogs holding a special place in my heart. Born and raised in Brazil, I’ve spent my life surrounded by dogs and knew early on that I wanted to spend my time working with them. In 2005, I moved to the US, specifically Connecticut, to study music business at the University of New Haven. During this time, my dream and love for dogs remained strong. In 2006, my husband and I got married and decided to expand our pack of furry friends. A year later, I got my first show dog, Split, and took the leap to become a certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College (ABC), graduating in 2009. I am a member of the APDT and enjoy attending conferences and seminars to stay current and keep learning. My focus is on puppy behavior and training, helping owners and breeders with socialization and resolving any issues that arise.

Over the years, I’ve worked hard to build the Rebel Soul name and reputation to what it is today. I’m passionate about the dogs I produce, and supporting the families and breeding programs that choose a Rebel Soul Mini American Shepherd. I meticulously study the breeding lines I incorporate into my program, diving deep into their family trees, often tracing them back 12 generations to ensure I have a thorough understanding of the dogs I am breeding and puppies I am creating. While my mission is to better the Mini American Shepherd breed and help dog lovers everywhere experience the joy and deep bond that comes with having a well-bred, well-trained dog, my ultimate goal is to create Mini American Shepherd puppies or Mini Aussie puppies that embody the same traits I cherish in Cherry: loyalty, emotional sensitivity, and an unbreakable bond with their owners.

Miss Cherry

Temperament is at the heart of everything I do. To accomplish this goal, the cornerstone of my breeding program is my beloved service dog, Cherry. Cherry isn’t just my companion; she’s my lifeline. Trained to help me manage anxiety and wake me from sleep paralysis, she makes my toughest days more livable. Her presence brings me comfort, peace, and a deep bond that words can barely describe. Cherry’s unwavering loyalty and intuitive understanding of my needs have shaped the way I view dogs—and inspired my passion for breeding. I aim to create Miniature American Shepherd puppies that possess a sixth sense, forge deep connections with their owners, and share the beautiful bond and experience I’ve been blessed to enjoy with Cherry, with my families.
